The surrounding fields form the grounds of a Georgian House and have been allowed to revert to traditional Irish grassland. The estate is accessed by a tree-lined drive way which extends from the nearest road half a mile away.This is wonderful walking country as the Cottages are surrounded by the Ballyhoura hills. The Galtee mountains are within sight of the estate. A lovely place to visit Spring, Summer or Autumn!When in the Cottages, it seems like the rest of the world is a long way away. However, this is only part of their atraction. Due to their central location, Darragh Cottages are an ideal touring base for day trips to Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford and Clare. This encompasses most of the major tourism centres in the South.
